Brigeda D. Bank is a partner in the law firm of Fox & Bank LLP. She is certified by the California Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California as a family law specialist. Ms. Bank has practiced exclusively family law since 1991.
Before forming Fox & Bank LLP, Ms. Bank was an associate with Friedman, Ross & Hersh, a San Francisco law firm that specialized in family law and civil litigation. Before joining Friedman, Ross & Hersh, Ms. Bank was a staff attorney with the Community Law Center (now the Law Center for Families), a private nonprofit law firm that specialized in family law and probate matters. After her final year of law school, Ms. Bank clerked for Justice Cliff Young of the Nevada State Supreme Court.
Ms. Bank is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists (ACFLS), having served as Director North (2002) and currently serving as Treasurer. Ms. Bank is a member of the Bar Associations of Contra Costa County, Alameda County and San Francisco County. She formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Law Center For Families (formerly the Community Law Center).
Ms. Bank has lectured on family law topics. She is the co-author of "Don't Worry-Be Careful: Liability Issues in the Drafting and Reviewing of Premarital Agreements," Contra Costa Lawyer, Vol. 13, No. 5, pp. 16-21, May 2000. Ms. Bank regularly volunteers as a settlement judge in San Francisco Superior Court.
Ms. Bank received her Bachelor of Arts from Connecticut College in 1984, and earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of California at Davis in 1990.
