She represents clients in the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa and San Francisco. She has been a member of the California Bar for more than 25 years, providing legal services in the areas of family law, estate planning and employment advice for employers and employees. Catherine enjoys the challenge and opportunity for creativity presented by collaborative practice. Clients remain in control of their cases and, with assistance from the collaborative team, reach settlements that work for them and their families. She uses this approach primarily in family law cases, but also finds it useful in the estate planning and probate context. Catherine has done extensive training in collaborative practice and mediation. She is a founding member of the Alliance of Collaborative Professionals of the East Bay and a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, Collaborative Practice East Bay, and Collaborative Lawyers Association of Contra Costa. Catherine received her B.A. in 1970 from University of California, Berkeley, with Honors, and her J.D. in 1982 from University of San Francisco, magna cum laude.
